Pics: GEJ on the phone encouraging U20 Falconets to go for gold tomorrow


President Jonathan, who is currently in Germany, is pictured above speaking on the phone with Nigeria's U20 Falconets who are participating in the 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Montreal, Canada.

The footballers will be playing against their German counterparts tomorrow August 24th in the finals of the football tournament.

In the phone conversation, President Jonathan acknowledged that the Falconets have done very well to reach the finals, urged them to beat Germany and promised them a heroine welcome. Continue...

"You have done very well by getting to the final. I urge you to crown your efforts with ultimate victory tomorrow by playing with the greatest possible artistry, discipline, determination and patriotic zeal. I look forward to receiving you at the Presidential Villa with the winners’ trophy and you can be assured of the immense gratitude of the Federal Government and the very appreciative people of Nigeria,” he said. He promised them that he would be up to watch their game even though the time they would be playing would be very late in the night in Germany."

Netflix Launches In 130 New Countries, Including India But Not China

U.S. movie streaming giant Netflix just dropped the hammer and opened its service in 130 new countries, including India and Russia — but crucially not China. These  new markets  take Netflix, which claims 70 million customers, to more than 190 countries worldwide. The surprise reveal  came at CES 2016, where the company had expected to announce its long-awaited entry into India. Well, it did that, and then some. The move was unexpected since Netflix had slowly been building its coverage up over recent years,  foraying into Asia Pacific for the first time in 2015 .
