When Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, anticipated his death more than 2,000 years ago, he wanted an army of warriors to guard his mausoleum forever and protect him in the afterlife. So he ordered the creation of some  8,000 terra-cotta soldiers , along with hundreds of terra-cotta horses and chariots, to be buried with him in his tomb. Historians speculate the soldiers were modeled after eight individuals. When the statues were discovered by workers digging a well in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, in 1974, the world was stunned by the spectacular funerary art and the legacy of the powerful emperor. Windows Holographic to arrive on all Windows 10 devices

Virtual reality is one of the most exciting technologies that's currently being developed, but its potential is far greater than we currently realize. Oculus and Samsung make devices that try to completely immerse the user into a different world, but Microsoft has a different idea, which some would call a lot more practical. The company is working on perfecting something called "Mixed reality", which will break the barriers between our physical world and virtual reality. In order to create applications capable of creating this mixed reality the IT giant uses a series of tools called  Microsoft Holographic . Leaked Windows Phone 8.1 SDK Points To Impending Merger Between The Mobile OS And Windows RT

A leaker  took to Reddit earlier today  and listed details of Microsoft’s coming Windows Phone 8.1 surfaced through early access to the update’s software development kit (SDK). In addition to a host of feature upgrades, the changes include work by Microsoft to bring Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows RT closer together. That aligns with the  statements  of Microsoft executive Julie Larson-Green: “We have the phone OS, we have Windows RT, and we have full Windows. We are not going to have three.” It has been mostly clear that Microsoft intends — given that it cannot, and will not end the desktop-friendly flavor of Windows — to merge, in some capacity, Windows RT and Windows 8.1. Today’s leaks, as noted above, fit that model. Microsoft declined to comment.
